If you’ve ever tended a garden in Georgia, you know August is the rough stretch.

If you’ve ever tended a garden in Georgia, you know August is the rough stretch.

Everything looks a little tired — scorched leaves, dried-up blooms, maybe a few stubborn tomatoes clinging on.

Honestly, it can feel a bit discouraging.

But every year, I find comfort in the rhythm of it.

Nothing is meant to bloom forever.

When I moved into my house three years ago, I swapped city noise for chickens, fruit trees, and a year-round garden.

That shift taught me to feel the seasons in my bones — not just the weather, but the energy.

Slowing down. Letting go. Planting for the future.

If I were still in the city grind, I doubt I would’ve had the space — mentally or literally — to start this studio.

Gardening taught me to go with the flow, to adapt, and to trust the process.

That mindset is what built Mindful Owl.

So if you’re feeling burned out or stuck in a loop this month, consider this your reminder:

Rest is not a setback. It’s part of the cycle.

Let this month be about tending your inner garden —

because what you nurture now will carry you into fall stronger, calmer, and more connected.

With love and compost-stained hands,

Polina 🦉
